I am happy because of the planet’s funniest kid comic contest. I know this because I love being famous, and because of the contest I get to be on tv. Also I really like to have fun and because of the contest I get to go to las angeles and las angeles is a lot of fun as you can imagine. All of these things have to do with my inference because all of them have to with the contest and all of them make me happy!

Hi, my name is raymond and i am from Canada. Are you wondering why there is lightning? That is because ... well long story, there was a plane engine that stalled and one was killed. We were left with a village elder and two boys. Including me. We have to survive now, we were off track when we stalled so the search planes won't find us in a while. It is so cold here! Time for my inference! Hmmmm... I have noticed that Gabe. the other kid. Is trying to be optimistic because he has said when we just found a couple bullets which could rarely save our lives he said "The elder could shoot a moose any time!” and another time “Yeah, they'd see the plane turn then they would be searching over here! We’ll be out in no time!” even though that is so rare. Optimistic people would say that just to feel good even though it is rare or they don’t know that for sure. That is why I think Gabe is being optimistic. Well anyway gotta go. I think the village elder may have finished the snow shoes!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Being brave means to protect someone or to do something that everyone else is scared of doing. Katniss is very brave because she has saved many of the lives of others and herself, for example Katniss saved her sister by substituting to go into the hunger games, She was the first one to substitute in many, many, years. Another way Katniss was brave was when she saved Peeta’s life when they were getting attacked by wolves that the gamemakers had sent after them and Katniss risked her life by being in the middle of the wolves to save Peeta from not being killed. The last reason Katniss is brave and she has saved yet another persons life was when Peeta was being hunted by the other kids in the arena and he was about to die when Katniss found him, she got him and nurtured him back to full health and mended his leg.
Katniss and Melody (From Out Of My Mind) are both very scared at times but they usually bounce back. For example: Melody was scared when her sister Penny got run over by a car but she bounced back when she new that Penny only had a few injuries she bounced right back. Same for Katniss, Katniss was scared and sad that Rue died but she knew she needed to win for Rue and she bounced right back.
Melody and Katniss are also very similar because Melody is also very brave, for example: Melody is special but she is still fighting to get on the quiz team and do what other normal kids are doing, she is very smart and she is making many friends. That’s why Melody is brave like Katniss.

I can infer that Jessica, from The Running Dream, is determined because when she was home alone she took a shower by herself with no leg and no help. Jessica had a hard time getting in the shower and finding a comfortable position, but she pushed through and was successful. Another way I can prove Jessica is determined is that at the point when she was training for her race she was to run pushing Rosa in a wheel-chair. Everytime she went out to train she would push herself harder each time. Jessica would take her old wheel-chair and fill it up with sandbags and heavy things to imitate Rosa. She would run her path until she was done, and she would never stop or give up.
I know what my inference stated is true because a determined person would not stop and just give up, they would give it their all until they accomplished their task, just as Jessica did. If she wasn’t determined Jessica wouldn’t have even tried to do things that were challenging for herself, let alone run in the 10 mile race with her Prosthetic running leg. When things got hard she would’ve just given up and stopped trying, rather than pushing until you meet your goals. That is my reasoning for my inference Jessica, from The Running Dream, is determined.

The Masked Man is very harmful. I know he is harmful because in the book, The Land of Stories an Author's Odyssey, he had an evil witch turn all the towns people into stone. Another reason I know The Masked Man is very harmful is because when the townspeople were only throwing food at him, he threatened to kill all of them. Only harmful people would threaten a crowd of people that he would kill them, and turn them into stone. I know The Masked Man is harmful because that is exactly what he did.

I think that Jack was happy to see big jack instead of a police officer. I think that because he stopped kicking, screaming and started to talk when he realize it was big jack. Also it said in the text that he whipped around and hugged big jack. When I am really happy to see someone I know, I give them a hug and talk to them. And that is what jack did so I thought that Jack was happy to see big jack.

11 Seconds by Travis Roy
My inference about Travis Roy is that he makes the most out of his life even being paralyzed.
My two pieces of evidence are that one he started the Travis Roy Foundation to help keep him occupied and have something make him happy besides hockey. Two he went to the shepherd center in Atlanta Georgia to get as much capability back so he can live his life to the fullest.
This evidence proves what I said in my inference because my evidence shows that he works his hardest to make his life as good as it could be.
