Lost Years of Merlin: Henry H.
The Lost Years of Merlin by: T.A Barron
The lost years of Merlin starts on a beach two people a boy and his mother wash up on the shore and are attacked by a boar they survive and move to a small village. Merlin/Emrys (the boy) survives horrible prejudice because his mom is a healer so everyone thinks she is a witch. Eventually things boil over when some boys try to crucify his mom and he ends up blinding himself when he causes a burning stake to ignite a hut that traps a person inside. Emrys dives into the fire to save the kid and is able to pull him out. He saves the boy but his face is horribly scarred and disfigured and he loses sight in both eyes. Somehow he learns how to see using a magic called foresight. His mother gives him a magical pendant named the Galator. He goes to a weird island called Fincayra where he meets Rhia. The two soon become friends but when a trip to the great spiders lair goes sour they are separated and This is taken prisoner by goblins.Emrys is furious he follows the goblins and survives many dangers. Finally he makes it to the spiral castle where he faces a giant threat.
Throughout this book there is a content friendship between Emrys and Rhia that only grows stronger as the story progresses. At the end of the book the two become what I deem to be more than friends. Emrys loyalty to This is more deep seated than friendship. At some points the author even states that there feelings a something special and Emrys sacrifices more than mere guilt at dragging her in. And that is why Merlin loves Rhia!

Art of Racing in the Rain: Milo W.
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
My inference is that Zoe is very mature for her age mentally. She says all this stuff about not being a baby and about all this stuff that not even some adults would say. Like when she said that she had to “Grow up” after Eve, her mum died. This shows that she’s mature for her age because, if I were her age I would be utterly confused and I would break down in tears for days after I heard what happened. She just handled it like a boss.
Anyways the plot summary is… There’s this guy named Denny and he’s a race car driver. The entire book is based off of a dogs perspective and his and Denny’s life. For the beginning of the book it’s just them and then there comes a lady that Denny falls in love with, her name is Eve. Denny and Eve have a child named Zoe. Then Eve falls off a rock and then she dies and while that’s happening Denny gets accused for something and then the Twins sue him and everything goes wrong.
So, that’s my blurb! Hope you enjoyed, if you did please subscribe and like down belo- Wait, this isn’t a youtube video… That’s awkward.

Fablehaven: Steven D
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull
In Fablehaven Kendra and Seth go to their grandparents’ house, who they think are hermits, so naturally they wouldn’t want to go there for a week. They get there and grandma is gone. Grandpa tells them she went somewhere. They sleep in a kids room in the attic, Where their grandpa gives them a set of keys that open different locks throughout the attic. Later Seth catches Dale (one of Grandpa’s helpers) putting out milk for some hummingbirds and insects. Seth is confused. Dale explains the milk is uncleaned so he puts it out for the animals to drink. Meanwhile, Kendra has found two places of the three that the keys unlock. They each have some chocolate and a golden key in them. Later Seth arrives in the attic and finds the third keyhole and they use the three keys to open a locked book they found under the bed. They read the book and on the last page there is three words drink the milk. So they drink the milk that Dale put out, and it turns out there are fairies everywhere. Earlier in the book they find a witch in the woods. I’m not going to say anymore because it is a great book and i don’t want to spoil it. I think it is a book good for girls and boys, and I would recommend it anyone who is looking for an awesome read.
